Kenya Project Log
April 20: Project Meeting - We researched rainwater data in Kenya to help with the design of more rainwater catchment systems.
April 13: Project Meeting - We started work on reports relating to our trip next January, by splitting into two design groups, one which focused on a design for a hand washing station that is supplied by water from the rainwater catchment system, and the second which looked for places to put more rainwater catchment systems.
April 6: Project Meeting - We worked on the Operations and Maintenance Manual and Alternative Analysis for the Kenyan Government
March 30: Project Meeting - We worked on the Alternative Analysis for the Kenyan Government and an Operations and Maintenance manual for the borehole pump. We also revoted for the Publicity/Recruitment Chair for EBoard since there was a tie at the Chapter meeting!
March 23: Project Meeting - We updated everyone on the project process after we had our conference call with EWB USA. We made plans for how we will be moving forward with the project, including discussing the reports we need to have completed (Alternative Analysis, Operation and Maintenance manuals)
March 22: We had a conference call with EWB USA to discuss the January trip and to clarify the reasons that we implemented on an analysis trip. The report process was straightened out on Volunteer Village so that the implementation report could be submitted via Volunteer Village.
